Hardman Earns Special Teams Player of the Week

 

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has received his first award-- AFC Special Teams Player of the Week. The rookie wideout picked up a crucial touchdown off of a 104-yard kickoff return, the longest play in the NFL this season. Furthermore, the play was one of just five plays that went beyond 100 yards this season.

 

Hardman is having a solid rookie season for the Chiefs, picking up 536 yards on 26 receptions. He'll be heading to the Pro Bowl as well, as a return specialist. He averages 13 yards per punt return and 23 yards per kick return this season.
