Kansas MBB Makes Emergency Landing at Airport Following Victory

A plane carrying the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team was forced to make an emergency landing following an engine failure. Following the Jayhawks' 72-56 victory over Stanford, the team was set to leave from San Jose when one of the engines failed roughly 20 minutes into the flight. The pilot of the plane was able to get in contact with the San Jose airport and immediately return to make an emergency landing.

All passengers were confirmed to be safe by the team's social media accounts. The team will return to Lawrence from San Jose once new plans are finalized.
