West Elk Patriots Look To Get Back On Winning Track

 

 

After a big week 1 victory on the road against Marmaton Valley, West Elk high school continued their 2018 season on the road as they travel to Udall to play the Eagles of Udall High School. Though this time the Patriots fall on the other side of the numbers as they lose big on the road 52 - 6 against the Eagles. Head Coach Chris Haag says the team made subtle mistakes that turned int big plays for Udall as he states they were a big and fast team that just wore the guys down and. Coach Haag said the team took the loss seriosuly, and look to improve into week three as they will finally play on their home field. They take on the 1 and 1 St. Paul High School Indians who come off a week 2 victory against the Life Prep Fire 34 to 22. Chris Haag spoke on the Indians as he says he sees a number of similararites in the two teams and thinks this game will come down to the wire. Stating if the offensive line holds he thinks his the Patriots have a good chance of bringing in their 2nd win on the season, a great way to start a 3 game home stretch. Kick off is this Friday at 7 pm at West Elk High School in Howard Kansas.
