Beginning today, the Coffeyville Red Ravens and Hutchinson Blue Dragons will open the postseason against each other in the Region VI Tournament Opening-Round best-of-3 series. Game time is at 2 p.m today at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson. Saturday and Sunday's if necessary game will be at 1 p.m. also at Hobart-Detter Field. The Blue Dragons (34-19) tied Colby Community College for third place in the Jayhawk West this season. Coffeyville (27-24) on the other hand finished fifth in the Jayhawk East with an 18-18 record. The Ravens have now lost four in a row and are 4-6 in their last 10 games. Red Ravens lost 2 of 3 against the Blue Dragons this year in the season opener here in Coffeyville at Walter Johnson Park. Since 2004, when the current Region VI Tournament format changed to its current system, Hutch and Coffeyville have met four times The Hutchinson-Coffeyville winner will meet the Cowley-Garden City winner at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 11 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita.
