Kansans can now learn how to use Narcan through a free online course.

DCCCA offers the training to Kansas residents and community organizations. The self-paced course teaches people how to recognize an opioid overdose and use Narcan, a nasal spray that can reverse one.

The Parsons Police Department says five of the department’s first-aid instructors are trained to teach Narcan classes as part of the city’s opioid settlement initiative. Kansans can sign up for the online course or request a free Narcan kit through the Kansas Naloxone Program page at dccca.org.
