Fire fighters respond to a night time car fire near Altoona.

The initial call came in to Wilson County dispatchers around 10:20 on Thursday night.

Units from Wilson County Rural Fire responded to the call. When they arrived on the scene northeast of Altoona, they found a car with heavy fire showing inside the passenger compartment.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
