A Neosho County woman is in jail after authorities say she called 911 and reported shooting her husband.
The Neosho County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a home on 50th Road yesterday. They secured the scene and gave first aid to 59-year-old Montee Kernell until EMS arrived. Kernell was flown to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, where the sheriff’s office says he was last reported in stable condition in intensive care.
Investigators arrested 58-year-old Norine Kernell on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder. She’s being held without bond in the Neosho County Jail.
