Halloween activities can be frightening for pets.
Coffeyville Friends of Animals Becky Barnhart says costumes, ringing doorbells and extra traffic can affect how animals behave. She says owners should take precautions when welcoming trick-or-treaters. Barnhart says owners should also consider their pet’s comfort before dressing them for Halloween.
Barnhart also reminds owners to keep candy bowls out of reach and watch decorations that curious pets might try to eat.
