The thrift shop at Coffeyville's First Presbyterian reopens after water damage.
The shop has been closed since May after water got into the basement and forced demolition and remodeling of the space. Last Thursday, the public was finally allowed back inside. Volunteer Lisa Brookover says the first day back was a busy one.
The shop sells everything from clothes and bedding to small appliances and books at discount prices. Brookover says there's also a big milestone coming up.
The thrift shop will celebrate its 50th anniversary on November 19th. The shop is open every Thursday from 8 to 3 in the basement of First Presbyterian Church on 8th Street in Coffeyville.
