A Chanute woman is seriously injured in a UTV accident on US-169 near Chanute.
24-year-old Maryanne Kepley was traveling on 160th Road about five miles south of Chanute around 9am yesterday morning when her Kubota UTV was struck by a Ford Explorer after she failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver of the SUYV attempted to avoid the collision but struck the passenger side of the smaller vehicle, ejecting Kepley.
Kepley was taken to KU Medical Center for her injuries.
