USDA to Deliver $808 Million in Farm and Conservation Payments to Kansas Producers

Kansas farmers, ranchers and landowners are set to receive approximately 808 million dollars in federal farm safety net and conservation payments.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the funding includes crop support payments for the 2025 growing season and annual conservation payments for 2026.

Ten Kansas crops, including corn, soybeans, sorghum and wheat, qualified for payments through federal price support programs. USDA officials say the funding will help producers cover operating expenses, purchase equipment and support local businesses, providing an economic boost to rural communities.

The Conservation Reserve Program will also provide annual payments covering more than 182-thousand acres in Kansas. The program helps protect natural resources, improve wildlife habitat and preserve grasslands while allowing livestock grazing.

Farmers with questions about eligibility or payments are encouraged to contact their local Farm Service Agency office.
