Flags in Greenwood, Wilson, Woodson, Elk, and Neosho counties will be flown at half staff tomorrow, October 24, in honor of a former member of the Kansas House of Representatives.

Governor Laura Kelly issued the order to honor the passing of former District 13 Representative Larry Paul Hibbard.

Hibbard was a native of Toronto, Kansas, who served in the State House from 2013 through 2019 when he resigned for health reasons.

He passed away on Sunday, October 18, in Fredonia at the age of 81.

Flags will fly at half-staff from sun up to sundown tomorrow in his honor.
