Second Person Charged in Bartlesville Animal Cruelty Case

Category: Crime

A second person is facing a felony animal cruelty charge following an investigation into the death of a dog in Bartlesville last year.

49-year-old Andrea Pinkston of Bartlesville was charged with cruelty to animals in connection with a July 2025 incident. According to the Bartlesville Police Department, officers responded to a residence on July 12, 2025, for an animal welfare check. Officers reportedly found a dead brown dog tied to a chain-link fence, with its leash pulling against its throat and leaving its head suspended off the ground. A second dog was found alive outside the fence on a short leash.

Investigators also reported poor living conditions, including an overgrown backyard and flies collecting near a window. The dead dog's leash restricted its movement to less than three feet. Pinkston shared the residence with 54-year-old Grant Rehor, who was charged with animal cruelty in August. A warrant for Pinkston's arrest was issued in July 2025. She has posted a $7,500 bond and is scheduled to return to court on November 13th.
