The Coffeyville City Commission is unable to hold its scheduled meeting after two commissioners fail to attend.

During roll call, city officials confirmed that Commissioner Alec Hendricks was absent and Mayor Jim Faulkner had not arrived. Hendricks had previously notified the city of his absence, while officials say they had expected Falkner to attend. City Clerk Melissa Carter says they did not have enough commissioners present to have the meeting.

City Manager Ben Brubaker says they looked outside and attempted to contact Faulkner but did not hear from him. Because the meeting never officially began, no city business was conducted.
