A local business is honored at the 2026 Kansas Business Awards.

This year’s annual awards ceremony was held Thursday in Overland Park and the winner of the Mainstreet Momentum Award for southeast Kansas went to Carver Home, Office, and Furniture Outlet or CHoFO of Neodesha. The store offers new and open-boxed furniture for homes and businesses and is located on Neodesha’s Main Street.

The Mainstreet Momentum Award honors businesses that actively work to revitalize downtown areas and commercial districts through ongoing growth, investment, and community engagement. CHoFo is located in one of Neodesha’s historic buildings, one that formally housed one of the Ben Franklin's Five-n-Dime stores as well as once being the home of a bowling alley.

ChoFo officially opened its doors in Neodesha on May 8th of this year.
