The City of Bartlesville may be getting closer to hiring a new City Manager.

 

The Bartlesville City Council will hold a special meeting tonight to hold an executive session to interview two internal candidates for the position. The two candidates will be interviewed separately.

 

According to an agenda posted on the city of Bartlesville website, discussion and possible action regarding the city manager position could occur following the interviews.

 

The Bartlesville City Council is searching for a permanent city manager following the sudden resignation of former City Manager Mike Bailey on August 7.

 

Assistant City Manager Laura Sanders serves as interim city manager, though she is not applying for the permanent position and plans to return to her assistant role once a selection is made.

 

Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
