An updated sign is in place at the Cherryvale Community Center thanks to effort by local residents.

Cherryvale City Council Member Curtis Whittley has been spearheading several community-improvement projects around town. He says the sign at the Community Center was deteriorating and in need of updating. Whittley says he got a hold of Cherryvale Art Teacher Casey Lickteig who had some students interested in the project.

The sign features lettering in Charger blue and cherries as a finishing touch.
