Two drivers are injured in a two vehicle crash in Nowata County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the collision happened at about 5:30am yesterday at Highway 169 and County Road 27. 48-year-old Louis Cox of Ochelata was traveling east on County Road 27 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a commercial vehicle traveling north on Highway 169. The commercial vehicle was driven by 65-year-old Lyndon Wright of Kansas City, Missouri.
Both vehicles left the roadway following the collision. Cox's vehicle came to rest off the road, while Wright's vehicle struck a fence and then a tree before coming to rest Both drivers were injured. The collision remains under investigation.
