Representative Bryce Seeks Re-Election

Property taxes and data centers are among the top issues facing the citizens of Kansas House District 11.

Republican Incumbent Ron Bryce faces Democratic challenger William Kendall. Both candidates answered questions during Tuesday’s forum in Coffeyville. Bryce grew up in Coffeyville and worked as a physician before returning to the community and becoming involved in restoring properties and operating businesses. On property taxes, Bryce says he supports changes aimed at slowing increases in what homeowners pay.

Bryce also encourages residents to participate in local government, where school boards, city commissions and county commissions set property-tax rates. During the discussion on data centers, Bryce says potential economic benefits should come with protections for the communities hosting them.

Bryce says he believes the right agreement with a data center could generate enough property-tax revenue to substantially reduce the burden on other property owners. The general election is November third. KGGF News continues its District 11 candidate profiles tomorrow Challenger Kendall.
