The Parsons Arts and Humanities Council will host a public exhibit by a local artist starting this weekend.
Artwork by Parsons native Jim Kutz will be on display at the Carnegie Arts Center in Parsons beginning on Saturday. Kutz studied Industrial Design at Pittsburg State University and later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute. He worked at the Parsons commercial printing company Sun Graphics for 36 years and worked as a draftsman, scenic painter, and graphic artist. The exhibition of Kutz's work will feature both public and personal pieces.
The display will be open to the public on Saturday from 10am to 2pm and then from Sunday through Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm at 117 South 17th Street in Parsons.
