The Parsons Police Department is reminding bicycle, e-bike and e-scooter riders to follow traffic laws.

There have been two crashes in the past month and PPD says the riders involved were not following traffic rules. Riders must travel on the proper side of the road, stop at stop signs and obey traffic signals.

Officers are watching for violations and stopping riders. PPD says citations carry the same applicable fines as those issued to motorists. Police are also asking drivers and riders to watch out for one another.
