Dalton Defenders Days is coming up this Friday and Saturday in Coffeyville.
The event commemorates the October 5th, 1892, raid on Coffeyville by the Dalton gang that left four members of the gang and four Coffeyville citizens dead. Dalton Defenders Days will feature reenactments of the raid along with live music and craft and food vendors.
There will be gun safety demonstrations at 5:45 on Friday and then again on Saturday at 9:45, 2:45, and 4:45. Raid reenactments will be at 6pm on Friday and then at 10, 3, and 5 on Saturday.
KGGF staff will be broadcasting live on both days. Dalton Defenders Days runs from 4 to 10pm on Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturday in downtown Coffeyville.
