Oklahoma students are being encouraged to use their creativity to help keep the state clean and beautiful.

 

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is accepting entries for this year’s Keep Our Land Grand Art Contest, formerly known as the Trash Poster Contest. This year’s theme is teamwork, with students asked to show how people can work together to prevent litter and take pride in their communities.

 

The statewide contest is open through October 30 to students in grades K through 12, divided into four grade categories. Artwork must be original, two-dimensional, and submitted on an 8-and-a-half-by-11-inch landscape sheet.

Last year, nearly 2,200 students from almost 200 schools participated, representing 67 Oklahoma counties.

 

Fourteen state winners will receive cash prizes and recognition at an awards celebration in March 2027. First-place winners in each grade category will receive $300, while second-place winners and the Postcard of the Year recipient will receive $200.
