The City of Neodesha is making progress on its street paving project.

 

The City’s 2026 Pressure Pave Project is underway and has focused on high-traffic streets in Neodesha. Mayor Devin Johnson says it’s been a good move for the City.

 

Pressure Pave is designed to extend the useful life of existing pavement by sealing the roadway, improving the driving surface, and protecting the underlying street structure. This approach allows the City to preserve high-traffic streets before they deteriorate to the point of needing a much more expensive repair.

 

In other business, the City has also received a $25,000 grant through the Kansas Department of Commerce to be used for community marketing. City Administrator Brogan Jones says there are plans in the works to continue a recent national initiative on a local level.

 

The City recently ended its association with the national Make My Move program that worked with communities across the nation to assist in offering incentives for those willing to relocate.

 

Commissioners also appointed Cherilyn Hearn to serve on the Rankin Memorial Library Board.
