Cherryvale is investigating inappropriate social media posts.

The City says posts and photographs circulating across several platforms, including certain government-affiliated pages, falsely suggest the content was created by its police chief or a member of his family. Officials are trying to determine where the allegations originated and who is responsible.

City Administrator Karen Davis says the content does not reflect the city’s values or professional standards. She says Cherryvale will not tolerate social media being used to falsely represent employees or spread divisive content, and will pursue appropriate steps to address the matter.
