The Coffeyville City Commission will meet tonight and hold Public Hearings for both the revenue Neutral Rate and the 2027 budget.

City documents indicate that the 2027 budget will not exceed the revenue neutral rate of 23. 983 mills. The total budget is expected to be just over $122 million, an increase of around $19 million from the 2026 budget. Most of the reason for the increase is the addition of a new fund, an increase in operating costs for electric, planned spending of bond proceeds and adjustments in city payroll resulting from a 2025 wage study.

Coffeyville residents are invited to attend tonight's meeting and provide input during the public comment portion of the hearings. Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 at Coffeyville's City Hall. The meeting can also be viewed online via the City of Coffeyville YouTube channel.
