The Kansas Department of Transportation is beginning a road construction project this week in Sedan.

Starting on Wednesday, the intersection of Main and School Streets will be closed in the westbound and southbound direction. There will be a pilot car to guide traffic through the construction, but drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The construction is expected to be completed and the intersection reopened by Friday.
