A Chanute man is under federal indictment for trafficking in methamphetamine.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Kansas announced this week that 39-year-old Kyle Ingels has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Wichita on one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
