City offices in Independence will be closed for a short period of time today to allow for staff training.

Offices will be closed from 11:15 to 1:30 to allow city employees to take part in an annual safety training. Normal business hours will resume at 1:30 today. Those who have business with the City are asked to plan accordingly.
