Highway Resurfacing Project Starts Next Monday in Neosho County

A $4.6 million highway resurfacing project is scheduled to begin next week in Neosho County.

Crews will mill and overlay about 21 miles of U.S. 59, beginning at the K-39 junction north of Erie and moving south. Work will then cover four-and-a-half miles of K-47 between U.S. 59 and the west city limits of St. Paul.

A pilot car will guide one-lane traffic through the active work zone. Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes starting. Work will take place during daylight hours Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed in early November, weather permitting.
