The Caney City Council will meet tonight and hold public hearings for the revenue neutral rate and for the 2027 budget.

The public is invited to attend tonight's meeting in order to make public comments on the City's plan to exceed the revenue neutral rate for the coming year. The City does The Revenue Neutral Rate is the specific property tax mill levy rate required to generate the exact same amount of property tax revenue in dollars as the previous year, using the current tax year's total assessed property valuation. Citizens will also be able to comment on the proposed budget for next year.

Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 at Caney's City Hall. Those planning to attend the meeting in person are asked to enter the building through the east doors.
