Drivers are asked to avoid the area of County Roads 2000 and 3900 south of Dearing.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says Dearing firefighters have closed the road while responding to a large brush-pile fire beneath the Onion Creek bridge. The fire is at the same bridge where a vehicle went over the railing last night.

Drivers should use an alternate route until the road reopens.
