Firefighters with the Dearing Fire Department battle a late night garage fire.

 

The report of a structure fire came in around 11:30 on Wednesday night. Crew arrived at the scene about three miles southeast of Dearing to find a garage in flames. Crews from Coffeyville Fire arrived first and immediately began an aggressive interior attack. Dearing firefighters assisted Coffeyville crews with fire suppression while also working to extinguish the vehicle involved in the fire.

 

The fire was brought under control and successfully extinguished. No injuries were reported. A preliminary investigation indicates the fire originated with the vehicle and spread into the garage.
