Nowata Public Schools issue a statement regarding a student who made threats to the school Tuesday night.

Superintendent Dr. Mindy Englett says school officials worked with law enforcement, and the student was apprehended before the school day began. The statement says students and staff were never in harm’s way.

 

The Nowata School District reminds students to report any possible threats or concerns to a trusted adult, school official or to law enforcement.

 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
