Two Bartlesville citizens rescue an occupant from a burning building.

The fire occurred around 4:15 Wednesday afternoon as Bartlesville emergency crews were called to the scene of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters learned that two citizens had entered the structure and rescued an occupant trapped in the building prior to the arrival of first responders . Firefighters credit their actions in removing the victim from an extremely dangerous situation.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. One patient was transported to the hospital in stable condition. No names have yet been released.
