USD 413- Chanute Public Schools is warning district parents of scam emails circulating in the area.

 

School officials say the district is currently experiencing a phishing email attempt. Those with students in the Chanute school district should be aware on receiving unexpected emails from the district. Such emails appear to be from a USD 413 address and may include phrases such as “specially invited” in the subject line. These emails do not come from the Chanute schools.

 

The district advises anyone who receives such an email not to open it and to delete it immediately. Do not click on any links or attachments and do not provide any logins or personal information.

 

The USD 413 Technology Department is actively addressing the issue.
