Montgomery County Public Works announces the closure of a county road northwest of Sycamore for a bridge replacement.

County Road 2957 between County Roads 6450 and 6600 about 3 ½ miles southeast of Lafontaine is currently closed to traffic as construction gets underway. The project is expected to take 8 to 10 weeks to complete, with construction expected to wrap up by the end of October or the beginning of November.

Drivers should plan to use an alternate route and use caution when traveling in the area.
