The Coffeyville City Commission approves a resolution to apply for grant flood risk management study.

City Manager Ben Brubaker says this is an effort to find other funds to do the study.  Brubaker says they need the study to be able to make improvements to the levee, which can take the east side of town out of being a flood plain.

Brubaker says the refinery and the nitrogen fertilizer plant may also contribute to the cost of the study. The commission voted unanimously to apply for the grant.
