The Wilson County Commission addresses several items of business at its most recent meeting.

 

Commissioners voted to approve a measure that will exempt the Cities of Fredonia and Neodesha from the County 2% transient guest tax rate. Also approved was a landfill fee waiver request of 5 tons for Fredonia Regional Hospital for a construction project and estimates for carpet replacement in the Courthouse Law Library for nearly $6,000, and for the County Attorney’s Office for just over $4,000.

 

In other business, Wilson County Health Department Administrator Amy Lell discussed purchasing an additional $1,500 in car seats with grant funds. She also requested to purchase two new computers using W-I-C funds for $4,000.00.

 

The Wilson County Commission will meet again tomorrow morning at 9am at the courthouse in Fredonia.
