First responders in Nowata County are still experiencing issues connecting their radios to transmission towers in parts of the county.
During Monday's Nowata County Commission meeting, multiple fire chiefs throughout the county discussed with the commissioners and Emergency Management Director Laurie Summers about a possible programming issue with the radios. New Alluwe Fire Chief Tommy Gibson says they could use a grant to get new radios.
The discussion also addressed repairs to the tower in Wann that was damaged during the storms on July 4th, as well as getting a signal on a tower in the city limits of Nowata.
