The Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson hosts some out of this world guests this week.
Two members of NASA's Artemis II crew, Commander Reid Wiseman and Mission Specialist Christina Koch visited the space and science museum on Tuesday as guests of Kansas Senator Jerry Moran. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman was also part of the group. Senator Moran extended the invitation to the astronauts on April 9th while speaking with Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space agency.
Though he was unable to join his fellow astronauts on this trip, Hansen expressed interest in visiting the Cosmosphere.
Hansen says the Cosmosphere and the Artemis program help kids develop an interest in space exploration.
During Tuesday's visit, the astronauts spoke with students participating in STEM education activities and saw firsthand how the Cosmosphere is preparing the next generation for careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
