The K-State Extension-Marais des Cynes (mar-ray-duh-SEEN) District is offering an ATV Safety Training course next week in Ottawa.

The three-hour course will offer training on starting and stopping, quick turns, hill riding, obstacle avoidance, and emergency stopping. Attendees will be provided with a loaner ATV and safety equipment. Riders will need to wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt and over-the-ankle boots. The course is open to ages 10 and up and is free to attend.

The course will offer three sessions: on Monday from 2 to 5pm, and on Tuesday from 9am to Noon and from 1 to 4pm. The course will be held at Kan Equip in Ottawa. For more information, contact the Paola extension office at 913-294-4306.
