The City of Neodesha and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment continue to monitor water conditions in the pond at Riverwalk Park

 

City Manager Brogan Jones says the City is currently waiting to repair the pump for the fountain at the pond.

 

Jones says the issue with the pump is part of the reason behind the recent algae watch for the pond that was issued by the KDHE.

 

The Riverwalk Park pond remains under a watch status for harmful algae bloom. This means that a harmful algae bloom is possible and may be present in the water. Contact with the water in the pond is discouraged and the water should not be ingested by humans or animals.
