A candidate running for Montgomery County District 1 Commissioner makes a major health announcement.
Candidate Chuck Voelker has announced that he has recently been diagnosed with cancer in the base of his tongue. Voelker made the announcement on Tuesday, July 28, via a Facebook post. Voelker says he will immediately begin treatment for his illness and that he has no plans to drop out of the race. He added that he made the announcement in order to keep voters informed as part of his campaign that is based on honesty and integrity.
Voelker will appear as a candidate for District 1 Montgomery County Commissioner alongside Leroy “Rusty” Duke and Rick Whitson on the August 4th primary ballot.
