The Kansas Department of Transportation begins a chip seal project in Greenwood County today.
The project will take place on K-99 northeast of Eureka, starting at the US-54 junction and will continue north to the Lyon County line. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide travelers where crews are actively working. Motorists can expect brief delays of up to 15 minutes. The project is expected to be done by the end of September, conditions permitting.
The project was awarded to APAC-Kansas Inc., Shears Division, of Hutchinson, for just over $850,000.
