The Coffeyville City Commission will meet tonight with several items of business on the agenda.
At tonight's meeting, commissioners are expected to consider a resolution to authorize improvements to the City's water supply system through the offering of General Obligation Bonds to finance $9 million in improvements. The proposed financing will fund water treatment plant upgrades, capital equipment, and the replacement of aging water lines.
Commissioners will also discuss a request for approval to submit an application to the Kansas Department of Transportation Cost Share Program for the Overlook Drive Phase 1 roadway reconstruction project. The project will provide for the reconstruction of Overlook Drive between 8th and 11th Streets, including the removal of existing pavement, asphalt resurfacing, curb improvements, and storm drainage upgrades at a cost of just over $92,000.
