The City of Independence invites to public to join in the celebration of the retirement of Assistant Police Chief Derek Bryant.

Bryant has served 32 in law enforcement, beginning his career in Independence in 1993. He has served many roles with I-P-D and was promoted to Assistant Police Chief in July 2024. There will be a special reception in honor of Bryant on Friday at the City Hall Courtroom from 2 to 4 pm.
