A Fort Scott man is injured in a Saturday afternoon accident near Frontenac.

33-year-old Jared Bahr received minor injuries after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was rear-ended on US-69 around 3:15 on Saturday afternoon. Traffic on the highway had slowed due to a large fireworks event held in Frontenac on Saturday. Bahr was stopped in traffic near the entrance of the event when the accident happened. Bahr was taken to Pittsburg's Mercy Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the other vehicle – 48-year-old Branon Shipman of Carterville, Missouri – was uninjured.
