Extreme heat warnings are in place for eastern Kansas, northeast Oklahoma and Missouri with temperatures expected to soar past 100 degrees.

 

Heat index values up to 115 are possible across the KGGF listening area, with extreme heat warnings in place through 9 tonight, and heat advisories extending through tomorrow evening.

 

Anyone working outside should take frequent breaks and watch for signs of heat-related illness.
