Coffeyville Community College is expanding its Powersports Technology Program to full-time post-secondary students.

The nine-month certificate program is offered through the college’s Columbus Technical Campus and is located at Jay Hatfield Chevrolet. Students receive hands-on training in diagnosing, maintaining and repairing motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, personal watercraft and other vehicles. They also learn to use dealership management software for service, inventory and customer relations.

Instructor Mike Mathes says the program helps students turn their interest in powersports into a career.  High school juniors and seniors can continue enrolling part-time. Scholarships and financial aid are available to qualified students, and the program is FAFSA-eligible.
